Friday Favourites - A bit of a change up!!

So I have been SOOOOO slack with my Friday Favourites but I have decided to continue doing it but change it up a little.

I am going to do 3 instead of 5 as i sometime find it a little difficult to find 5!

I would love some ideas for topics and once I can work out how I will add a linky thingy too so everyone can join in!

So we kick friday favourites off again next week and the topic will be "Spring Finds"

Friday Favourites - Things I like to do with the kids.

Now that I am a stay at home mum while I look for another job I have more time to spend with the boys, which is fabbo!!

Here are some of the things we enjoy doing around home.

The Local Park

This is always a big hit with the boys. It is also fenced in and has an area of grass, and a shelter with some table and chairs, so once they have had enough of the equipment they can kick the footy or soccer ball around and Mum can sit at the table and read or plan blog posts.

Running

I know this doesn't sound like something that the kids would be all that interested in but when I suggest it they get very excited about it.

We normally head down to the Little Athletics Oval that is at the end of our street. It has a long jump pit, a 400 metre running track and in the middle of the oval an 80 metre sprint track. (All on the grass)

Tate, Damon and I normally run laps while Ethan plays in the sand. Ethan will run with us for maybe a lap but get bored and prefers to play in the sand.

It's awesome for burning some of the extra energy these boys seem to have and they enjoy it as much as I do. Win for everyone really.

Bike/Scooter Riding

There is a smallish riding track not far from home so when we have some time we load the trailer up with the kids bikes or scooters and head there. They LOVE it. There is all sorts of ramps and big and small half pipes. I sit and cringe but they seem t know what they are doing.

Mt Lofty

The kids and I enjoy going up to Mt Lofty there is lots to see and lots of space for Kite flying and football/soccer ball kicking. The boys love wandering through all the tracks and finding things they haven't seen before. The fresh air and exercise is just a bonus really.

Movie Night

One of our favourite ways to spend a saturday night at our house is a movie night. The boys get to take turns picking the movies that we watch and it always involves popcorn.

Friday Favourites - Ethan's Favourite Movies

This is Ethan

* He is my baby.

*He will be 6 in November.

*His favourite colour is Yellow and he idolises his big brother Tate

*He started school in Term 1 and took to it like a Duck to water, he loves it and is a little fountain of knowledge sucking it all in.

I asked him about his 5 favourite TV shows and realise by his answers that he in a minature version of his Dad.

Jack & Jill

I also believe that he is an old soul, he has done this all before as he knows things and has wisdom way beyond his years.

Friday Favourites - Damon's Favourite TV shows

This weeks post is a week late!!! Damon went off to his Dad's house last friday from school and I realised that I hadn't asked him about his favourites, so here it is:

This is Damon

He was born at 32 weeks and is anything but your typical premmie baby!!! Yes he had health issues early on but after he turned 3 months old he has been amazing health wise. He has some learning difficulties that we are helping him with and managing but otherwise he is your typical football obsessed 9 year old!!!!

* Damon's favourite colour is Blue

* He is obseesed with Hawthorn football club

*His favourite players is Buddy Franklin

* He wears number 12 when he plays footy

Friday Favourites - Tate's Favourite Books

For today's Friday favourite I thought I would get my eldest son Tate involved.

I am LOVER of all things 80's. I would love to go back and live in the 80's all over again!!!

This had to be one of my favourite shows and each week it gives you a sneak peek at the episode about to be aired in the US! There are also cast interviews and live chats!! So much to see!

Patricia Cornwell

My favourite author. I love her books and how real and factual (I hope that's a word!) they are. When she is writing a new book she post updates on her facebook page and where she is, what she's researching etc. I love seeing how she does it and how long the whole process takes.

Friday Favourites - Pink Things

OK, so when I was 21 my favourite colour was Blue, then I had 3 boys and during that time, at some point it changed to something a little more girly and now I adore PINK!!!! So I thought I had to share my favourite pink things with you here goes!

I love this quote, I love everything about it!! It pretty much describes me in nutshell!!

I found this cute little fridge on Pinterest and I hope to one day have this at work on my desk!

I think this house is amazing but  never think that I would be game enough to paint the outside of my house pink this house is THE most amazing house I have ever seen

My engagement ring, it's pink and square and just so pretty!!!

Friday Favourires - iPhone Apps

As some of you may know I am addicted to my iPhone, I couldn't live without it! So I thought I would share some of my favourite apps.

Instagram
is a photo sharing app that lets you add filters to your photos to change they way they look.
You can follow other users and interact with them through their photos.

Facebook

I love facebook. I love seeing what everyone is up to and checking out everyones pics and stuff.

 iMapMyRUN

this is my famous fitness app. I use it to track my runs. It tells you how many kilometres you have run, your run rate, calories burnt and a whole heap of other cool stuff.

WordsWithFriends

this game is lots of fun, gets you thinking and I am yet to beat my husband and this infuriates me, so I will keep playing I do!

Labelbox

this app is lots of fun. It is just what the name suggests a label maker for you photos. It makes some funky labels adds a little special touch to you pics.

These are only a couple of my favourite app, I could go on all day but I won't!!
