Wordless Wednesday - Australia Day Beach Fun

This little guy is turning into a real little water baby!!! 

Happy Birthday Annie!!!

Today is my Mum's birthday. 

As soon as I reminded the boys this morning they all wanted to know how old is she now! 

We have made Annie a cake as a surprise, so I have scheduled this post for after we see her so I don't ruin the surprise!!!

When Tate was born Mum decided she wanted to be called Nannie Annie. Well, Tate had other plans! Nannie Annie turned out to be too much of a mouthful for him so he shortened it to Annie and it's stuck!! EVERYONE (including my friends and their kids) all call my mum Annie!!!

Photo Challanges for 2013

I love to take photos.

My kids love to pose for photos.

Not sure if my love of taking photos influenced that at all but either way it works for me.

This year I have decided that I am going to push myself to take nicer pics, and also document my kids over the year!

So I am doing two photo challenges, I won't be following any lists this time as I found that a little difficult. I want to be able to just see something that I like or funny that the kids are doing and use that.

The 2 photo challenges I am doing are:

365 Day Photo Challenge - Simple as it sounds take one photo each day

52 Week Challenge - This one is also as simple as it sounds, but I will be doing it for each of the boys individually and at the end of the year I am going to make them each a photo album of the years pictures.

I am still am unsure how I will share the 365 challenge with you as I think a blog post each day would probably be too much. So I'll keep thinking about it and let you know. In the mean time I have been uploading the photos daily to my facebook page.

I would love any other suggestions you have though.

The 52 week challenge I will share with you once a week on Tuesday mornings.

2012 WOW!!! Part 1 - January

This year for us as been absolutely NUTS so far, we haven't sepent many weekends at home. Lots of events and lots of milestones as well. And that is just weird!! My house is suffering because of it!! This weekend in Adelaide is a long weekend, which means we probably won't spend much time home this weekend either.

So I thought I would share my 2012 so far with you.

Here goes:

January

Our Wedding Anniversary is New Years Eve and for my anniversary preseant I was given tickets to Summerdayse which was New Years Eve, which ment on New Years Day we were quite hung over but had soooo much fun.

My two little brothers spent a month in Aus for the school holidays and during that month they spent a whole week with me and my boys. We had an action packed week with lots to do. We went to St Kilda Playground, Semaphore beach, Mt Lofty Botanic Gardens, Movie Day at home, Swimming at my Uncles house and lots of slip and slide cricket. We were all exhausted but can wait for them to come back in the mid year school holidays!!

Australia Day this year was on a Thursday and we went to a friends house by the beach and spent the day having a few drinks with friends and an awesome BBQ for lunch/dinner. Gotta love Australia Day on the beach, especially when the weather cooperates.

Damien had some time off of work during the school holidays to spend with the kids, he took Tate and Ethan to Point Turton for some fishing. Poor Damon had to stay home as he was sick. I joined Damien and Ethan on the weekend for a little fishing and time with my boys.
